Hello
Digging a pond in SE Virginia and found this large rock about 9' below the surface, only rock we have run into, it was sitting on top of a large deposit of dark grey clay. I am curious of what it is and is it worth anything. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Looks like a metamorphic rock, likely several millions of years old. It may be worth something to someone who want to turn it into gravel but not much more than that I don't think.
