Got out at low tide at Myrtle Beach and found this coin in a plastic case. Slightly larger than a half dollar. Has 1974 on back right side. Could be a token but not sure. Anyone seen a coin/token like this? Also got the toe ring in the flat wet sand. Good day in the sand. Thanks JR

Are you sure it is silver? It is interesting.

I'm going with Tibet, but I'm inclined to think its some type of medal rather than a coin. Nice find either way.

Good source states its a Buddist Prayer token. It is 925. Thanks guys

does not look like silver to me. betting some type of token, rather than a coin. awesome find though!

The writing and the style of the coin appear to be Hindu. I too agree that it doesn't look like silver.

I've found these before, they do make them in sterling silver but 99% of the time people throw in the cheaper ones that are made of 'white metal' a base metal alloy usually made of a combination of tin or zinc sometimes with a silver plating. They are meant to bring wealth or general good fortune to the person who threw it in.
