Spent about 5 1/2 hours at the old high school today. I decided to turn my sensitivity up a couple of numbers and 15 min. later between the side walk and street I got a quarter reading (deep). I dug about 12" down and saw a quarter that looked like clad laying in the dirt. Only after I examined it a little that I knew it was a silver. It turned out to be a 1899 barber quarter, a very unexpected find at that location, because it has been gone over by everyone for years! Thanks for looking!

Real nice finds!!

I was like...what the hell is a largish silver? lol I get it. Nice find!

expect the unexpected in this hobby. I'm still pulling early & mid 1800's coppers & silvers from a park that a number of people have hit heavy for the last 30 years. Guess they missed a few !!! Nice job on the Barber.
