Hello All. Got out last weekend to a 1910 home site and discovered a good variety of mostly worthless but fun-to-dig items:

A few Whtzits
Cool Eagle Emblem (to what?)
"Charles of the Ritz" Lipstick Case
"Ploughs Black and White" Cosmetics Case
"Coty Sub Deb Air Spun Rouge -Vibrant" Cosmetics Case
1918, 1925, 1956 Wheaties
Skeleton Key Lock Cover

I am having toruble putting precise dates on the cosmetic items, please let me know if you have some insight on these.

I am sure there is still many more items for the picking at this site...will find out tommorrow. HH and May the Finds Be with You.

I think everybody threw everything out in the yard when they were done with it back then. No curbside garbage collection I guess.
Fine hunt, cambria09 and a good snapshot of everyday life in the early part of the 20th (and possibly latter part of the 19th) century. Looks like a great spot to keep on hitting!

Glad to see I'm not the only one! I dug an all brass hose Bobby today. And that was about my best find in the 40 minutes I looked.

Hello Thrillathahunt. Yes we do find cosmetic items fairly often here in FL sometimes in trash heaps but also near where cars parked. So either they tossed 'em or lost 'em before getting out of the vehicle. Thanks for the reply and HH.
