last 7 boxes (about 54 a box)!!!

You get a lot of Canadian cents up there. You can sell copper Canadians for more on Feebay since you're in the states. No laws here banning melting of foreign coins. I save all my Canadian coppers.

still doing pretty good on those boxes :)

finding anymore GV's or GVI's out of all those Canadians? I guess those are kind of like Canadian wheat cents. :)

Btw, good luck on your new job - hope it works out alright for you. :)

and thanks man! my job is going well after day one. some crazy stories of coins he's found in abandoned houses and was given permission to sell. i'll try and relay some of the stories on here because we all love coins here. of all ages and values

funny you say that, I got myself a KGV about a week ago, this is my 2nd in less than a year, and I search roughly 15-20 boxes a year. :icon_sunny:

380 canadian cents, i got more american cents in my 3 last boxes. Last box I scored 2 wheats, surprisingly both were in the same bundle also both were 1956D :D
Check for varieties and save higher grade examples.

American coins in Canada are more common than Canadian coins in America.

true but i do feel like i get a little more then average here in Maine due to proximity to moose and elk country

22 wheats/box...that's a great average. I've done about 40 boxes now and 20 is a great box here.

True, there are far more american coinage up north, than canadian coinage down south. reason is - magnets

I think the reason is the number of Canadians who go to America compared to the number of Americans who come to Canada. More Canadians go to America and bring back american coins.

Agreed, but the coin counter magnet is another, additional reason. In Canada most banks do not have coin counting machines and thus the main deposit of coins goes through CWR. When ppl get return from vacation in Florida, they do exchange currency, but not coins. Also most of Canadians live in about 1.5 hour from the American border. This is another reason.

Still looking for my first Canadian non-Queen coin! It's out there and I'll find it sooner or later. I may just have to get AGBlex to swap me a box of pennies. ;D

hahah maybe ! i have about 2 dollars worth now of king george VI... and 2 king george V
