Hey Guys, :hello: its been almost a month since I last posted and wanted to share my finds from my last couple of hunts with you. I went back to a couple of sites that I already had as well as

some new ones. When Roger was down a couple weeks back, he was watching as I popped out a very cool copper coin from a site that was host to Connecticut, New Jersey and New

York soldiers. I found it within the first 10 minutes of Roger and I arriving there and when I popped it out it was a very large Copper with Arabic writing on it. I've seen stuff like this

found before in Civil War campsites around Richmond as well, my buddy dug an Egyptian Watch Fob last year from a campsite. Also was able to pull some Eagles and a nice variety of

lead including a Wormed .69, a flattened musketball made into a poker chip/checkers piece, a carved piece of Enfield and several other nice bullets. Managed a really nice Colonial Shoe

buckle the other day as well, but so much for describing them, here's the photos and thanks for looking guys. Also, as y'all now know Jeff is back, he and I have stayed in touch while

he was gone and I was waiting for him to make his return post before I said anything but now y'all know and a great way to come back with a nice 19th century piece of Silver, congrats

buddy!~ :occasion14:

Roger (Getty) and I had just arrived at a Civil War campsite property that I have permission at. This site was occupied by soldiers from many states but this particular part was camped on by Connecticut, New Jersey and New York troops. We were there maybe 10 minutes if that when I got my first good signal; it was very deep and very faint but solid and repeating. As Roger was digging next to me, I popped it out and it was a beautiful large Copper but right away I could tell it wasn't a Large Cent as it was a little bit thinner and larger and aside from that, it was plastered with large Arabic writting all over it. Probably lost by one of the soldiers who was camping there, a little personal piece. This find made my day and I got it home and researched it and it turned out to be an 1861 Ottoman Empire Copper minted under the reign of Abdul Aziz:

Thanks Randy, it has been a good year I definitely can't complain....found my oldest find this year which previously had been that 1561 Elizabeth Shilling, now I don't think I'll ever beat a find that's older than 2100 years old. What I really would like for the year is to get a nice CS Tongue :) Are you ready for DIV?

Great post,

The silver ring was a nice surprise, as was the Barber Quarter. You set out to find Civil War or Colonial Relics but these finds don't hurt none either ;D :occasion14:
