Got out last Thursday night to my reliable north side park and with the 15X12 coil and pulled out a few deepies - 1890 Indian and a 1917 Merc. Saw a pile of dirt where some a little excavation had been done. Decided to see if there were any goodies and popped out a 1927S Merc and a few wheaties.

On Sunday I met up with Etrac007. He put on a silver dime demonstration. I was really hoping he was going to get the seated for the grand slam! I managed a 1944 Merc, a 5 cent token and 10 wheaties. It was a beautiful day out and Mike is great to hunt with.

CONGRATS ON YOUR FINDS, WTG! :hello:

Great Mercs, Token and Indian Patrick!

Gotto do something 'bout you Etrac masters....

Maybe some secret setting resets in order.

Great finds!

Great hunt, Patrick!!! Congrats on the nice finds!!!

Are you using a bungee setup with that big coil or just free-arm swinging it?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. He's gonna have forearms like Popeye pretty soon... well one of them will be anyway. ;D

Great hunting Patrick!

BTW.. Are these finds coming up around close-by trash and iron? I thought the big coils didn't work well in the clutter.

Those are some great finds, Patrick.

No bungie coil but I might consider getting one. It is pretty heavy. Feels like I got a WWII machine! It is actually harder on my hand then my arm. 2 or 3 hours is not that bad though.

Regarding hunting in the trash. It's not that bad if you go real slow. I was out in the middle of a wide open field at a large Chicago park that was not as trashy and it worked real well there.
