I just wanted to get out for one last hour this year. I hit a really trashy park and went off to an area not visited much anymore. I would have never guessed I would pull a silver from this park, let a lone one in the last hour of hunting for the year. Even more ironic, the ID was not good. Nice solid sound, but the reading on the Explorer was 00 22 at 10" I knew there was no way it was going to be a half dollar, but dug anyway. Turned out to be a 1944 Merc dime at 6" and came out of the ground nearly all black.
Happy New Year to all.
