Last hunt of ‘23, silvers & relics

[pa-dirt_nc-sand]

Spent about 6 hours finishing up a couple cellar hole sites in the park woods. Uncovered a few more virgin plots of soil by busting through some briar patches.

SLQ was in the leaf clutter up against the base of a sapling and Barber was on edge, but only an inch deep.

Interesting relics: ornate pewter spoon handle, pewter bird, second Grant Building 2 piece button.

Happy New Year!

Some awesome finds. What a haul!

Super results! There were no newer coins dug? I'd LOVE to hit some spots like that
Congratulations and thanks for posting.

Nice day out for digging in the dirt.
Sweet Barber, and we'll dug on the SLQ.
The bird sure reminds me of a top off the Victorian Spooner.
The image is fully plated, but there were different versions.

Thx! About a dozen wheats have come out of here as well. I just toss the wheats in a mason jar.

What a way to wind up the year. You had some really nice Saves and Finds. Well Done.

Great ending to the year. Nice variety of old coins there. Well deserved when you are battling briars. 👍
Thanks for the post,

The only reason I knew this is we had a similar one in the family.
I believe it was a Blue Bird.

That Barber is a beauty! And, I think thats the third or fourth 1912 Barber dime found this month in Tnet.
