Happy Holidays to all!
This will be the last post of the year for us as the snow has showed up here in Colorado.
As it was really cool to have a white Christmas, but 11" was just a hair to much.
Thought I would post our totals for the year as our last hunt was in Hawaii a week ago.
Hawaii was tough for us to hunt with the ace 250.
Did come up with a 18k ring and $6.78 in clad.
Next year I will take a new MD with us. Scouting out a new one right now.
Thinking the Whites XLT might be the one. We have time to think about it with all the snow here right now.
We started hunting in May of 007 with the Ace 250 and we found a new hobby in MDing.
Thanks to all of you great folks here on TNet we really have learned so much in the short time hunting.
We just wanted to break the 1000 coin mark out first year but we were having so much fun we got over the 3000 mark.
Here are our 007 totals
George Washington dollars 2
Quarters 143
Dimes 284
Nickels 135
Pennies 2803
Total clad 3367 or $100.93
Silver Dollars 2
Silver Dimes 18
Wheat Pennies 46
16 Rings (4 gold, 6 Silver, 2 with Diamonds)
7 chains (2 gold, 4 Silver)
21 Hot Wheel type cars
29 Zipper Pulls (All for you Master Eagle)
1,000,000 pop tops
4 Gold Charms
1 Gold Tooth
8 Tokens
5 Gallon bucket of stuff (need to go though)
1 Shovel
All and all we had what we think was a great year.
If we never found one thing this year I had a great time with my wife of 25 years.
And the time with my daughter when she was home from college to hunt with us.
We are really excited about next year!
