Last hunt of the year gives up Silver and Large Cent!

I wanted to find one more silver before the end of the year. I found a silver Washington quarter that looks to be melted or something but silver is silver I also found right beside it my first Large cent! I can't quite make out the year but still awesome find for the last hunt of the year.

Way to go. Your quarter looks like it may have been wacked by a lawnmower. I find a ton of coins in the parks in Az that the mowers ate.

Huge congratulations on scoring your first large cent mate! She's a bit crusty but, hopefully you can gently clean it enough to get a date without removing too much detail. Hey, a chewed up spit out GW silver is just about as valuable as an MS65 slabbed one so good for you. Nice hunt.

I checked with the owner today he said the house is a 1917. Wild finding a coin 100 years older than the house. That’s an awesome find for sure. The silver is cool too. Hope next year is even better than this one for us both. Happy New Year erybody!

I guess you never know. There might have been an older home before that one. I have a feeling 2018 will be an awesome year. Happy New year buddy!
