Last Night's Hunt

I went out last night for a little hunt. I have been experiencing a silver drought (day 11), just can't seem to find a silver coin.

I did manage to find the following:

-A Harmonica reed, my first one.
-A brass ring with screw base... mini reins guide? Think about midgets with a little horse drawn wagon.
-Faucet handle
-Clad
-Aluminum Spur (gas station) token
-A "Gold Award" medal. It has a serial number on the back. Weird thing is that the hole in it, makes it hang upside down. Any idea what this is, please let me know.
-The remains of a watch. It cleaned up with a toothbrush and baking soda. Looks sorta like silver...Do you think that it is silver? It is very small for a pocket watch IMO... but looks old. Any help on this is appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

You are a GIANT Richard. You know what I mean.

Why would you write "snicker" in there like that... just wrong.

Looks like good metal in that watch bezel. Try acid test yet? That serial numbered item is interesting also, hope you find out something on it =)

Awwwww.

I have not dug a Silver Coin in 7 months , Hmmm. I see the 20th Day Being Good For You. [ not into the Psychic Stuff ] , Just a Feeling.

Is the Watch Piece Heavy ? at least rule out Aluminum .

Davers

Thanks for sharing a nice dig and those pictures

doucing rods say day 17 you'll hit silver again. I never douced anything in my life, but gave it a go just to help you out.

although I think you already hit it with that watch part.

awe droughts come and go, then it just pours! reminds me...... oh well, I figure when it does happen, you will bust it wide open! all I found this morning was 3 pennies, can slaw(lots) a few pull tabs and two iron rings, makes what you found look really nice! just saying... Jerry

Very nice finds for a "little hunt" Tom! :occasion14:
This item is a reins guide for a horse & buggy and depending on the weight ... your pocket watch frame is likely silver!

CT the secret is to start your hunt on a time that ends in 8. I actually set my machine at sens 88 and disc 18 because I'm so superstitious. Alarms the microwave anything I do I have to have an 8 in it. Ok now you know how much of a freak I am :-)

Davers..sorry to hear about the silver drought..my thoughts-toss a Maiden cd in, crank up "Hallowed be thy name" and get the juices flowing on the way to your next hunt..just sayin...works for me..lol..ddf

That watch is either silver or aluminum. I highly doubt it is aluminum though. Only way to know for sure it to test it.

All of us are a little OCD at something.

I found one of those rein guides a week or so back and had no idea what it was until now. I kept it anyway and The funny thing is I left it in my car and a buddy asked me yesterday "what is it?" and I said "I have no idea but I keep a lot of unknown stuff because you might find out later what it is and be surprised"! :)

Way to go Tom!
