My wife's family were / are lead miners here in good ole "Misery" . I went to some training class' with a few of them years back.

MSHA couldn't come up with any hard and fast rules for these guys to follow since each mine and the techniques used were different. So they decided to do whatever it took to put them out of business.

This is why I have no respect for MSHA. They are nothing more than government attack dogs.
