Slate Creek access near American House California

Just curious if anybody who lives in this area knows if you can still get access down to slate Creek from American house

Hi,
I think you are talking about the seven switchback dirt road that goes down to slate creek. The entire area has been claimed covering the camping area and upstream from where the road comes down . The gold hound club used to have the claim and let anybody prospect on it. That claim was unfortunately dropped and then reclaimed by others keeping everyone out for prospecting purposes.

We went down the road several years ago and were able to get across the creek and up, had permission from the claim owners then but not now.
