Getting better depth in park 1 . The houses I am hunting are 1880s and have a solid six ft area from the house out that will read a nonstop -4 to -6 solid masking all targets . You will pull up nails , rusty junk , the front door bell and random large gears , RR spikes all in the same hole trying to find your target .

Frustrating to say the least . The ATP is useless and the deus has been over these areas multiple times with the LF coil . I am running park 1 all metal sens 20 GB tracking 5 tone wm-08 w/ apple ear buds and digging every signal I come across . It sounds like a war zone in your ear but it is worth putting up with when you come across a masked target . Five pieces of junk came out of the same plug with that token . The token was the last thing to come out at nine inches deep . pool hall 1.webppool hall 2.webppool hall 3.webp

Was that token a pretty solid signal to make you dig it. I've done the same, if I hear a solid signal in there after pushing the lucky horseshoe button, I'm a diggin'. Nice finds!

It was coming in at 18-19 in a few spots as I rotated around . More than not I lose the target this way . Not sure where it goes , sometimes it is there or not . I am really happy it was there that time .

VERY nice, 1942!! Way to pull the goods out of the thick iron!! Definitely the most challenging aspect of metal detecting, IMO -- pulling targets from iron!

Merc - yeah, that's what I’m talkin about. Great find!

Yup, every time I take a different machine to the same old hunted out place, I get more stuff. I started noticing this trend over 20 years ago. Like I say, miss it by an inch miss it by a mile.

You did well in all that iron! :icon_thumleft:
