LC Hole in Her Head !

I went back to a apple orchard that has preduced 10 Large Cents and a lot of Gilt Buttons .
Found this Large Cent there today holed in the middle ...can read liberty in her forehead , but the date is wiped out,i found a lot of Iron too, but no one wants to see that .

Ya those maps are from 1860, i got 7 county's from Pa. line north... to half way up Seneca Lake.

Somebody was making use of that LC for something. There's more at that sight it's just playing hide and seek with you.

You should post all the iron once in a while just so newbies see the whole picture so to speak.
It's not all silver and gold, there's a little rust and dirt to go along with it.

Nice find Gary. Orchards? There are a few old ones my way, but, I never thought of them till now. Have to check them out.

2nd LC I have seen posted in the last few weeks with a center hole. The other had some rim work too. You have to wonder what they were being used for.
