Lead and Gold???

Do lead and gold have the same tone? is there something I'm missing they both sound the same to me.

They both give me the same signal on my MXT....

They sure sound like nuggets on many machines, infact I suggest lead can be used to test a detector for gold if you can't find a real gold nugget.

Try some small bits of lead, then if you can get a small gold nugget of the same weight, bet you can't tell the differences
