I presume, anyway. I found this lightly dished lead plate. I couldn't help but find it actually. The grounds were once used for annual Memorial day services. Many rifle casings and friction primers all around.
This plate has 6 equilaterally spaced features... look like the imprint of rifling grooves to me.
It's 6.5" in diameter when measured without the protrusions... 6.75 overall.
Suggesting this plugged a big bore gun that was a display or used during honor guard services. Would those dimensions match any known cannons out there? My biggest lead find to be certain.
