Found this in the front yard of an 1840s farmhouse in Upstate NY. It was deep, 8-10", found with a custom program on the Deus. Rings up at 68-70 at 18khz. The penny is the known object :) and used for scale. I was thinking hem wait but I think it's too light. Then I was thinking maybe a crude button but more likely a lead seal? Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

Don't think it is a lead seal. Maybe a chain link spot of some sort. But it would have to be a small chain.
Maybe for a u shaped screw. Interesting...
