What are these curved lead things? Someone told me they are diving belt weights but I cant find a match. They may be some type of counter balance weight but to what? Using the curvature, it would appear that 8 of these would make a 5 inch circle. Looks like peel & stick on one side. Not a metal detector find. Had these in my scrap box for about 30 years. Each one weighs about 2.7 oz. or 76 grams. I have 3 of them. DSC01788.JPG

You might be right about it being zinc. I don't have my acid test solution with me.
Is it possible they're not lead, but zinc? We could be looking at some type of sacrificial anode.
