Hello,
Learning the ropes on metal detecting on an Equinox 800, don't really have any preference as to what kind of hunting to pursue aside from eventually hunting underwater with scuba (already dive).
What I had in mind was to set up a test garden at home with multiple targets and get used to the sights and sounds in a controlled area, then contrast this to actual hunting ground hits. My priority would still be out in the field for the variety of soil condition that just can't be had at home.
For you seasoned hunters, what would be good items that can normally be found in this region that I should consider for a test bed?
Other instructions to help me avoid “holes” is greatly appreciated.
