And my first gold (2 pcs) was only 3 days ago!!It takes a while to learn what my White's Classic is telling me, but I'm actually getting it!!

I got a signal I presumed was a coin but it had a mashed pile of Goose poo RIGHT where I pin-pointed. I thought to myself: "Self, wouldn't that be the 'sh*t' if this poopy spot is marking a ring or something exceptional." I truly thought about skipping it...but you know how the "what if's" can haunt us.

Well son-of-a-gun if it wasn't a Sterling Silver Ring thing!! My FIRST! But not my last.

very nice! that poop had a silver lining! ;D ;)

Nice Ring, Congrats. I hate dodging land mines. Bbblllaaaaaahhhhhh ;D

Actually, I a pretty big guy so I was suprised, but it DOES fit my pinky perfectly!

What a bunch of s***! ;)

Seriously, though, many good finds have been found that way...it's as if the animals mark the spot...think of an X made of poop. If you can run the gauntlet of crap, you may be rewarded. :)

Nice find!

That's interesting...I often seem to find myself in a big solitary span of grass which Geese seem to appreciate as much as I do. I suppose I should get used to it, huh?

partenr,

Congratulations on the silver ring. I have an SL Classic II as well. It's a great machine. What kind of headphones are you using?

Cheap headphones I got at Fred Meyer that I LOVE. Panasonic RP-HT227. I can't imagine I miss much with them; they are quite loud, clear, and sensitive if one turns volume even 1/2. They also have a very long cord - 6 ft. or 7 ft.. I think I paid $25 for them. See pic.

Man, your doing fricking great. How much trash are you digging (50-50)?

Great find! Reminds me of a time I hunted a friend's yard and dug up a quarter..he said, "So there's the quarter my dog ate!" :D

I found an 1887 IH under a pile of deer poo. Congrats on your first silver!!

nice poop scoope there.

Congrats on the ring!!!

I can handle the Geese poo but I think I would draw a line at the deer poo. That is usually a huge pile of pellet poo...yuck. Thank God there are no Elephants in NJ. My luck it would be a cache of old gold coins right under the middle.
