If you plan to hunt somewhere that has a nice turf lawn, it would help to carry a small squirt bottle full of water. Give the hole a good squirt before you replace the plug. Hopefully this will prevent the plug from browning and becoming detectable after a few days. I often show the landowner how I replace the plug and am very careful when I am asking permission. To know you are not going to just dig things up is often the key to getting parmission for me at least. Monty
