Let it snow

Had another significant dusting come in last night above the treeline. Just rain down here in the valley and gettin close to freezin every night. Another month or so and it will probably start snowin a** deep to a tall giraffe.

Last night most of the Cascade Mtn range was under a freeze advisory, at least at upper elevations (4,000' plus). It'll drive the elk and deer down for the early hunts, but isn't going to help the campers much.

Should start seeing matsutake mushrooms within a month I'd think.

45º right now in the western mtns of Va., unusually cool but a nice break from a hot summer.
