I dug up the base a while back and happen to venture back to the same area. When I dug up the candle part I felt fairly confident that I had both pieces. :). Any idea how old this thing might be?

No idea but, it's cool you found both pieces and it looks very nice. I'd say well before electricity became a common thing. Could be civil war era or even older I reckon? Nice!:icon_thumright:

That is sooooo sweet! Congratulations!

Very nice that you could find both pieces. Now for the Super Glue !

Very nice recovery getting the other part, I'd venture a guess of it being late 19th century for dating the holder.

Hello mk4125. I agree..."LET THERE BE LIGHT"...AND AC AND WATER AND TV AND FOOTBALL AND COLD BEER!!! My power just came BACK on after Irma!!!

Nice find and Good Luck out there. C9

I am glad you got through the storm and your power is back on.

OP that is one magnificent candle holder. I can picture it being used back in the day. Heck I can see it being used today.

very cool that you found the parts to put it back together. I would find a place near the fireplace for that thing

....Can you show us the other piece? Tin or copper ?

Oh..the second piece was the part that holds the candle. It's made of brass and the candle is made of black wax.
