I have no idea if this is relevant, but the phrase was popular ‘Jive Talk’ lingo in the 1940s and 1950s, particularly among hip folk hanging out in jazz clubs and dance venues. This from “Hepcats Jive Dictionary” (1945):

That’s got to be it. Makes the most sense. You don’t hear those phrases today. I was racking my brain, thinking maybe even something to do with worm farming but I think you nailed it

Maybe, but what the heck is it? The only thing that sprang to mind was a juke box token.
