Got out to the Cellar i found my Liberty Buckle at..The day was absolutely beautiful warm sun and a nice breeze.

Honestly i couldn't think of anything else i would rather of been doing..Drove out to CT early this morning with the intentions of finding this piece! This site has been hit good it's amazing i found both pieces..I was pretty shocked when i pulled it out!:headbang:You couldn't scratch out a find anywhere near this giant cellar..All finds were roaming the site..

Got a nice Dome gilted button which i think is early..

1837 large cent roaming some walls across the stream..

And the mystery letter B just like i thought it would be!!I believe i know who this buckle belonged to.:icon_thumright:

Although broken at the three thin points it's pretty thick brass..The pieces were a couple hundred pieces apart it must
have taken quite a force to break it and scatter..I like pondering how finds got lost...

Here is the original post..

Also nabbed the regular buttons and such..Its gonna be a good year:hello:

That is some Fantastic finds!

Could this be two banners for the price of one?

Outstanding.

Oh wow!!!
Congrats on finding the other piece.
Thats remarkable. .

Oh... and would you divulge who L.B. is?....or is that privy info to protect your site..just curious.

Wow! I remember seeing your banner across the top and not realizing that your buckle was incomplete. I always tell folks to never give up on finding missing pieces of items found. I found that to be especially true when I lived in Northern Kentucky and hunted in tobacco and cornfields for arrowheads. Usually found the tips, bases, or halves of any pieces I initially found and then got lucky enough to find the rest, or most of it. I looked at the pics and can't determine what is what. Just a suggestion, maybe you could post a pic of the complete buckle. Once again, way to go on finding the missing piece! I would pay admission just to personally see a relic like that!

Blaze my man!!!! That is so damn cool man. You're gonna kill it this year brother. I'll be watching. What an incredible day to pull the missing link from the dirt.

Unbefreakinlievable Man ! ( I don't get that word out very often ) The odds of finding the broken piece gotta be "slim and none... and
slim left town "

Very cool that you found the rest of it!! Congrats on some great finds!

Wayda go JB - that's awesome that you found the matching piece! Are you going to try to reconstruct it? If so, I have a recommendation for a professional that could do that for you. Congrats again!

That is so danged awesome!

Amazing.... congratulations! Awesome its whole again. That would be a great restoration.

WTG on finding the other parts JB!! I'd definitely say it's gonna be a good year for you my friend. Great buttons. HH, Q.

Having your buckle come together and now complete is a win any day of the week!

The rest is icing on the cake!

That is killer, congrats on finding the other piece, a great piece of American history.

Simply incredible! I am so pleased to see you found the rest of that important piece of history. Congratulations! :occasion14:

Steve

Finding that piece IS your year JB! I don't see how you can top that one now. That is just too cool!

Hey Johnny, Is it my imagination, or when the pieces are put together, do the voids spell 'I H'? Is that significant? Way to go in reuniting the pieces!

Congratulations on finding the missing piece to your buckle Johnny, that's just amazing bud! :occasion14:
Love your pics from the site and that Starburst Button!

Any plans on getting the two buckle pieces repaired / restored to their original glory?

Dave
