Permission hunt on a old farm site. I was able to find a 1937 Mercury Dime, clad coins and a license plate topper. I am not sure how old it is but thought it was a neat find. Hope you enjoy. IMG_0476.webpIMG_0474.webpIMG_0475.webp

I researched mine at the main website for AAA https://www.aaa.com/AAA/common/zipcodeGateway/index.html
I ask the general question through their contact link. I got the year from Google books. Someone in the 20s wrote an article about members of this specific club. Mine changed their name in the late 20s.
I found reference to the N.C. AAA here https://books.google.com/books?id=U...q=N.C. State National automobile assn&f=false
That article is from 1918. They may have added "National" later.
I would try asking historical clubs for your part of NC or see if NC AAA is still a club.
There are a lot of old timers willing to talk history with you.

Relics like the AAA tag you found are among my favorite things to find. I believe every state has a different one. Nice find!

I'm going to jump on the band wagon and show you mine. I found this in San Francisco a few years ago.

Very cool find, I'm a member of AAA.
If you break down, run out of gas, or get stuck in a trench, they will come help. The policy also covers any vehicle you are in, even if you don't own the vehicle.
Congratulations on your find.

i usually don't do this.
