I can't believe you're STILL out hunting. We have a foot of snow still on the ground. I would have thought you would have gotten some of that by now. At this rate, you'll be out all winter ;) No cabin fever for you I guess.

It kind of looks like one of those rivets that holds a knife's wooden handle on.

It looks like it could be a push/pull, on/ off switch part for some kind of appliance

Hmmm you might be onto something, with the valve from a wind instrument. The shape of the end looks a little like maybe a valve

part of a padlock, patio lock ???

Do the black areas look like insulated material. Take an ohm meter to it and check it. If it is, I would say a switch part.

Already ran that test. I believe it to be plastic or rubber. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere else. That is the main reason I don't believe it to be from a trumpet or similar instument. I think it has something to do with an electrical item of some type.
