I went to one bank yesterday, looking to get some coins to look thru for good stuff. They had no halves but I ordered one box. Went to the second bank, zip. Went to the third bank, zip. Three Fridays ago one bank had some "big dollars", see my other post. Anyway, I had to drop off a deed at the courthouse so decided to stop at another bank, no halves. Went to a different branch of the same bank and asked for halves, big dollars and dimes. Well, three weeks ago I got 6 Ike's and 5 Morgans and 5 Peace dollars. One Peace was a 1921 Philly and the key 1928 Philly. Today, the lady had $17 in halves, (nothing good), $150 in dimes (1 1964) and 7 "big dollars". One was a nearly uncirculated 1923 Peace Dollar. Unbelievable.

Holy moly! That is really awesome. Good finds. I gotta start doing that again. Perseverance pays off. WH

I can't believe the tellers just put the big silvers in the back and ignore them. I also can't believe people take these things to the BANK instead of the coin store or Ebay.

A lot of these coins get to the banks when an older person's coin collection is deposited in the bank upon their death by unknowing people. There are so many avenues of treasure hunting that it is mind numbing! HH to all!

That's amazing, great scores, I'm going to try a little more! WTG!

Geez, where are these banks at, in Tombstone? :dontknow:
That is fantastic! Great finds. I love those old silver dollars.

Big east coast metropolitan area. Go figure.

Very good finds, sounds like fun.

Here's the 1923. Got the digital microscope going finally. 1923.webp

you're gonna need a leaf rake to rake in all that silver if that kind of luck holds out

I don't believe in luck.......but thanks. She's a pretty lady, not much wear.
