it might be mold in the wood sand it or primer it and paint it , staining might require sanding

This is a bottle H-2.

LimeAway, acid of any sort (except hydrofluoric), even straight vinegar. Don't dilute it, and give it 24 hours, then scrub away any residue.

You know..I have been looking for ways to polish up some of my old bottles.

I have found that hot water and CLR does help a little...I have been adding mineral oil to my bottles...it makes them "Look" shiny :P

I think I will try the straight Lime-Away then. This bottle still has the rusty stopper inside. The mineral oil might help some of the bottles I have too, one is pretty dull looking. Thanks for the tip Diggin.

Bought a little Hutch bottle this weekend I can't seem to get clean in spots that look like rust on the inside.I tried Clorox and water this morning, dumped that out a few minutes ago and put a little Lime Away and water in there, should I be using the Lime Away straight and how long should I let it sit? Yes I am impatient.:tongue3:

Can we see a pic?

Want me to post a pic when they're all cleaned up then?
