Liquid Filled Plastic Item

What is this 4 inch long liquid filled plastic thing that I found washed up on the beach. The yellow liquid is permanently sealed inside with no openings and appears to be able to hang onto something. Also has an eyelet.

Just in time for the Halloween trick or treaters...this is what they used to hang on to the kids clothes to make them noticeable when out trick or treating. Chemical glow in the dark night sticks are what they called.

I agree as well. It's a lightstick/glowstick.

We use them for fishing at night. Just tape a small one to the end of your rod tip to watch for bites. They also sell small 1.5 inch ones that I have used to stick inside of plastic worms or tubes for freshwater fishing. A little uncoventional but they work.
