finally for today, i found this in my dual use campsite - nearby was a so-called "State guard Minie" which was used exclusively in camps of General Sterling Price...however, this one is smaller and doesn't have a deep cavity.
it is .30 cal more or less, is round tipped, and has almost a cupped cavity - very shallow...I can't find it in the book.
Ideas? I have included comparison with a .69 and a .54 three ringer...
