Percussion cap.

At least that's my guess without a size reference.

looks like the cap on the end of an axle to hold a wheel on. :dontknow:

Looks like an end cap for a piece of copper tubing used in plumbing. Is there any evidence of solder? I agree with BigC we need better pics.
