That's a pretty darned cool find. Wish I could help on the ID. When I read the title I was thinking the Deadwood series and Al Swearengen.

Ron - Nice one! Pat Mooney is listed in the 1906 & 1908 Texarkana, AR City Directories as having his saloon at 407 W. Broad St. If you could post this one to TokenCatalog.com (or give me permission to), that would be great!
John in the Great 208

That saloon had the same name as one that was located in New Orleans during that same period (1904-09); a popular hangout for early jazzmen like Buddy Bolden and Jelly Roll Morton--when the saloon operated as Frank Douroux's Little Gem Saloon. I wonder if there is a connection??
Don......

Thanks Idaho for the research and info, I found it on a tear down dated around 1903. Its the size of a US quarter and the same size as a Tax Token, and with the hole in the center that is what I originally thought it was.
Please feel free to post it on TokenCatalog.com

Thanks again,
RR

I live and breath tokens. My favorite overall thing to dig.
I've managed over 100 different tokens from the Colorado area.
One has the word "Saloon" on it, and it's toast.
You my friend have a very sweet find.
Even in its holed condition.
Kudos!

Thanks Carl, I too like finding tokens but your right about finding one that has the word Saloon on it. It just doesn't happen very often. I may have close to 75 tokens if you count all the dang Palmolive soap ones and this one is only my second one I've found to say Saloon.
