little help please

Found this mercs the other day but one of them as you can see in the picture is covered in brown paint any idea how can I get that off without damaging the coin. Any help will be appreciated Tnet. Thanks and HH

Already try that and nothing even put down detergent on the water and still nothing

Ok, what you need is stripping solution. It is made to just make paint peel off without hurting the wood. No scraping required, it just curls up and falls off. Frank...-

Yeah, Provided you aren't concerned with the possibility of reducing the value of the coin, paint stripper would be your best bet.
Are you sure its paint? looks like normal corrosion to me.

I always clean my coins with baking soda and when I had corroded ones before the baking soda took care of it. This looks like paint baking soda did nothing on that brown surface but the rest of the coin cleaned up perfect

I would think lemon juice would do it - perhaps acetone - It looks like normal tarnish to me - nice finds .

I just purchased this at home depot guy on the paint department told me this will do it we'll see how it works.

Nope I left the coin all night on the solution and nothing

Well then... my guess is its not paint. If you just want it clean and not worried about devaluing it, then try some silver polish.
