Lobo discriminator

I have a tesoro lobo vlf/discriminator i bought for hunting parks and such. I have become interested in nugget shooting northern California deserts and am wondering if this detector is a good choice. I understand it isn't the Supertrac but is it a good machine for nuggets.

I believe it should be okay for gold since it runs 20 khz freq.

It is a GREAT machine for nuggets - that is what is was designed to do. It is a lousy coin machine, as it loses a lot of depth in Discrimination mode, because it reverts to a factory preset ground balance in Discriminate, and operates too high (20kHz) to give any depth on a coin-sized target. It was primarily designed to be an All Metal Nugget Hunter.
