This nest is near Indrio Road and U.S.1, between Vero Beach and Fort Pierce. If you keep an eye out as you drive either north or south on U.S.1 for large birds on top of the power poles near that intersection you may spot one or two looking for the next meal. Usually on the east side of the highway. To see the nesting birds you must go west on Indrio a little. North side, last tall pine going west in the stand of trees after the Viking cemetery. Please drive carefully!

Always a wonderful sightings eagles are. Nice pictures also.

Nice photos! :occasion14:

If you go to view the eagles keep an eye out for this guy. He was hanging out on the south shoulder of Indrio when I took the eagle shots. Occasionally just see some sows and babies. This was a rare sight.

I drive from Indialantic to Orlando often. Lots of eagles, coyotes, turkeys, deer & hogs along 520 and along the Beachline. Nice pics.

Baldy is making a fantastic come back. Love it! Tnx. ╦╦C

I love seeing them. We have some nesting pairs near where I live and sometimes see them fly over our property. They were nonexistent here just 20 years ago (southern tier of NY).

I have been told that this pair has been here for quite awhile and have juveniles in the nest on a regular basis. I'm going to have to find out how often they have a brood (or whatever young are called), and get some photos of the youngsters. Just read that some regs for protected species are changing, not necessarily in a good way. Thanks for looking, and comments.
