found on a lawn in Elmira, all I could find was the 'Elmira Water Light & RR co.' It appears to be for a locker key. Perhaps a 'time tag'. -Creskol, I have been trying to locate what was at that location on Lake St. An empty residential lot now, but could have been a terminal for the company that had lockers for personal belongings. The History Center got back to but is understaffed these days, as one can imagine. Hopefully they will have more info. I have tried looking at old maps of Elmira, but to no avail-----yet-- thanks for the info----daProf--

If you wanted to spend a bit of time reading history, you could probably go to the court house or records department and do a deed search on the property.

Mackaydon-- they were the first I went to. but do to this shut down, the staff was light and sent just one link to the history of the company. I have look=ed on old maps of Elmira to see what was on Lake st--but to no avail----yet--
 

Creskol;--time--- right, these days, we most have time !! though some court houses, county buildings have been shut down up here. Elmira is 45 min from my house---but, Gas is Cheap these days too !!
