Locomotive button

I found this locomotive button at an old RR camp in New Mexico earlier this year. The camp apparetnlyw as active in the late 1800s early - earlry 1900s.

I really like the look of this button, and the fact that it's completely intact makes it even more special. Can anyone tell what kind of button it is and if there is any value to it?

It's an early 1900's work clothes stud-button. A number of buttons with similar locomotive designs are listed in Baker's Railroad Collectibles and in Hughes & Lester's The Big Book of Buttons. Here's one on eBay right now for $6.

Nice button, I did my apprenticeship on the Rhodesian Railways (now Zimbabwe).
