"LOMBARDO" half dollar ***with picture***

Hi all, I remember a while back people finding half dollars with "LOMBARDO" written on them. Anyone have any more info on this coin? I have done 25 boxes of half dollars ever(started in January), and this is the first "LOMBARDO" marked coin I have come across. Of course, i thought I have seen every mark out there, but I guess not! My boxes are usually loaded with marked coins. Whoever lombardo is, they took their time to mark up a clad half dollar.

Scanned in 150 dpi because it's not a quality coin, I usually scan in 600 dpi though. Has anyone else gotten these recantly?

Last year I found quite a few "Lombardo" Halves. This year 1 or 2 appear every 2 or 3 months.

One of the interesting aspects of this hobby is what people find. Rich Hartford(R.I.P.) found a half with a pink sticker on it, advertising of some sort for a bar. A month or two later, Apush finds one in her boxes of half dollars. Coincidence you say, they live probably close to 2,000 miles apart and are in different time zones. One month later, I get two in one box, I live between the two of them, roughly 1,000 miles from each.

I have one half dollar with a sticker on it representing a bar as well, somewhere in central pennsylvania. Pretty far from where I live. Does make me go

If it is pink/red, that would be the one I am referring to, just can't remember the color exactly and the advertisement was for a bar in PA.

The Joe Bardo coins are an error coin and worth three times what a Lombardo is worth.

I think it is funny how our brains can play tricks like that, I think it is the way he wraps the writing around the coin so it is automatically percieved as a L and not a J.

Yeah, I think he would not rotate the coin to write joebardo, though this guy does have a LOT of time on his hands I am sure, so you just never do know

Please stop writing on my money. It shows disrepect to my country, my currency, and it shows you being an unproductive citizen. With the time you take writing on my money, you couldve gotten up off your ass, got a job, and could have retired by now.

I've gotten so many of these it's not even funny. I generally get a few of them in each batch of boxes I get.

I actually got a Lombardo ender last week.
