"London Plated" copper Coin?

I've had this little mystery for several years and don't remember how I came upon it. On the one side it says, "Plated" at the top and "London" at the bottom. On the other side there is what appears to be a bust facing to the left. but is very worn. The photo of the bust side is a bust.

It's an early 19th century gilt button: plain face, with a fancy backmark. Note the bump in the center where the shank/eye was attached.

PBK, you're probably right(as is the usual!). There is no denomination or date that I can see.
