Dug this quarter sized copper or brass pin, (minus the backing) today. The back says "Lone ranger Inc." Curious to the age, can't be earlier than 1933. I think Butter-Nut was a bread company, but that's all I can find out online. Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Lone Ranger Pin

Interesting find. I couldnt find your Silver Club but I found mention of a Butter-nut Safety Club badge. http://www.kovels.com/priceguide/kovels_loneranger/

Lone Ranger

Lone Ranger, a fictional character, was introduced on the radio in 1932. Over three thousand shows were produced before the series ended in 1954. In 1938, the first Lone Ranger movie was made. Television shows were started in 1949 and are still seen on some stations. The Lone Ranger appears on many products and was even the name of a restaurant chain for several years.

Re: Lone Ranger Pin

Thanks for the info. Might have to actually grab a Lone Ranger collectible book and rummage through it. Can't seem to find any photos online.

Re: Lone Ranger Pin

Nice find!

The Silver Club bronze pin dates from 1939, when it was issued as a premium of the Lone Ranger radio series, sponsored by Butter-Nut Bread. It is described as "Rare" in The Official Hake's Price Guide to Character Toys, Sixth Edition (2006), and is valued at $100 in Good condition; Fine, $250.

Seriously, if the guys and gals that hang out at this site worked for the government, a real lot of problems would be solved. And quickly. You people are amazing! Every, and I mean every item that I have ever sent a picture of wondering what the hell it is, or know what it is, but need more info on, has been answered within 24 hours. Simply amazing! I spent about an hour online, typing every combination that I could think of, (Butter-Nut, Butternut, Lone Ranger collectibles, etc., etc.), and got nada. Now, about my love life........
