✅ SOLVED Long metal thing.

I dug this in the woods and I have no idea what it is. It is either brass or pewter and is very thin. I tried cleaning it, but red clay sticks. Any help would be nice! Thanks! Also I probably damaged some of it with the old shovel.

Does it have lettering on it?

No lettering as far as I can tell. After I cleaned it, it's starting to turn black in some areas.

Looks like it could be tin. Maybe a lid or cover for something?

Looks like the edge of a shallow baking pan or cookie sheet.
That would probably be tin.

Thanks for the response ya'll. The suggestion that it could be something made out of tin makes sense. Though I think it is very mangled to try and make 100 % accurate predictions on what it was. It never sees to amaze the amount of things that are uncovered metal detecting. Thanks again!
