Long shot but I’d love a better id

I was hunting a site today that has produced items that date pretty tightly to around 1870. This bottle seems a little later maybe like 1890 but I’d still love to identify what it is if it’s possible it’s got 10 sides there is the end of a word WARD, followed by two blank panels, then maybe (U)RE then two more blank panels then CE, then 3 blanks. Found se Kansas… is there any chance someone knows more? It’d be a great clue if I could Id it.

I would guess it's some kind of patent medicine sample bottle. The "ure" is probably "cure", but I'm not sure what the others might be. A lot of those old medicine bottles would have the name of the place where they were made on them as well, so maybe the others are parts of the location?

Can't help much, but...

In the US, the Pure Food and Drugs Act of 1906 (effective January 1, 1907) nominally prohibited the use of the word ‘CURE’ on labels or embossed bottles of medicinal products for human use. Although it wasn’t rigorously enforced, most manufacturers began replacing the word with terms such as ‘REMEDY’. Then in 1912, the act was strengthened by the ‘Sherley Amendment’ which further clamped down on false or misleading claims and the word ‘CURE’ is almost never seen after that.

The word ‘WARD’ is a possible surname, but there are 18 places in America called ‘WARD’. It might also be the tail end of a longer place or person’s name such as ‘EDWARD’, ‘HOWARD, ‘WOODWARD’ or whatever.

There was indeed a Dr Ward’s Medical Company in Winona, Minnesota producing various medicinal preparations but their embossed bottles have the word ‘WARD’S’ as a possessive with an apostrophe.

I can't help with the I.D. on this BUT it has been out in the sun for sometime and turned it violate in color .

It’s one of those that is frustrating because just a few more letter might be enough to really know been trying every combination of 1800’s small bottle I can think of, no matches yet
