its been a loooong time since i last was in here to post. seems like there is always something else these days that prevents me from getting out. i made time Sunday morning and went to a park that i have hunted many times in the past with so so results. they recently built a road in this park and i noticed they had cleared a small area that was once covered by thick brush. as i started my sweep i got a decent signal which wound up being a 1927 Wheatie that had been clipped for some odd reason. not an earth shattering find, but it told me that maybe there was some old stuff still around. about 10 feet from the wheatie i get a dynamite sounding silver signal. it was shallow, about 2 inches so i assumed a clad dime but was careful digging just the same. you never know!...anyway i pinpointed the target down to a small clump of dirt. when i broke it open i saw the edge of a silver coin!i picked away a little more dirt to reveal the reverse of what i thought was a Barber dime. it wasnt till i removed the rest of the dirt that i saw it was a bit older than that! an 1875 Seated Dime! i was pretty happy since i have only ever dug 1 other seated coin!...hopefully this fall i will be able to get out more and actually have stuff to post again. i hope everyone around here is doing well. i need to do a better job of checking in more often. talk to you guys later!.....Keith
