Pretty daffodils, Trish. In your yard?

Looking more & more like Spring is right around the corner. Daffodils, snow drops, azaleas all blooming. I noticed today the oaks are sprouting leaves. As the old timers always said the cold is not officially over till you see the pecan trees sprouting leaves.

I wished they were in my yard, they are in my neighbors, and when i went to town this evening, i saw them. Even some of the trees are getting flowers.

I just hope a freeze doesnt come along and kill them. Im so ready for spring!

Yes...we should listen to the Old Timers, they know what their talking about. I did buy a Farmers Almanac this year, they are right on the money when it comes to weather i found out!

I have yet to see robins, seems they're should be arriving shortly. Hummingbirds will be arriving next month, cause I do keep record of when the 1st is seen. Last year it was March 21st seeing the 1st, but it does seem strange not to see flocks & flocks of robins yet.

I read where many birds are 'wintering' farther north than ever before.
I see robins here in the winter.

Nice daffodils. I don't think my mom in laws are starting to come up yet. She has a flower bed of them in the backyard. I love just going back there to smell them.

Hopefully spring is just around the corner.

i cant wait to see the hummingbirds either...nothing like sitting on the back porch watching them fight over the food i put out for them...to be so little they can be awful mean to one another. They are amazing little creatures.

I did see red birds yesterday, and yellow finch. No Robins yet either.

I wished spring would hurry up and get here, im ready to work in my yard!

Thanks Trish! I'd settle for a patch of bare ground, or a crocus poking through the snow. We did see 2 wintering Robins 2 weeks ago. I thought I was imagining things until the Hubby stopped his snowmobile to run back and tell me he just saw one. Think Spring!

Because they are all in my yard by the hundreds never seen so many......
