Here's the best of Saturday afternoons finds. The best being a small Georgian seal. I've had plenty of these types over the years. They always come up though, with the glass settings missing, or badly damaged. This one didn't, the glass is intact, showing a squirrel with a nut, and the motto "Look Within". It's a charming little find. The big medal was issued to commemorate queen Victoria's diamond jubilee in 1897. The small broken hammered is probably a half groat of Elizabeth the first 1558-1603.

Robert.

Nice going on the seal ( very much on the want list- still) and the half groat.

I've had that medallion before.... (broken a bit I think)

As you say it's rare to get the glass insert intact/present, so a nice find. I never get bored of Seals whatever the age.

Some very nice finds right there...and yes it was a awsome saturday outside !!!

Today the weather was fantastic. Went for a stroll with my better half, of course stopping at a nice beer garden.:occasion14:
