A couple items I found field hunting a part of an old 1850 to 1900 ghost town in Michigan that have piqued my curiosity.
Coins found range from 1870 to 1910.

First is a small sterling silver item with 3 blue stones I believe to be turquois.
My first thought was the end of a hat pin, but when researching I found all vintage hat pins with a single attachment point.

The second is brass or copper. I'm sure it's not for anything significant (maybe horse tack of some sort), but can't guess what it might be for.
When matching up the break, its helical in shape, so the two ends don't actually come together to create a closed loop. It's about 3" O.D.

Thanks for any ideas

The circular item is probably a bull or oxen nose ring.

I am pretty sure the sterling thing was an earring. Maybe a clip on or screw back but that part is missing. I am not sure on the ring.

Thank you all for the replies. Bull ring it is.
And I didn't think of clip on earring.
The attachment points could very well accommodate that style of earring.
