looking for a schematic for Whites beach comber

I am not sure if i should post this here or not. I am working on my dads old beach comber. It is the first model without the meter. I am a ham radio operator and have test equipment. It looks like at some point it had a battery leak after cleaning the battery compartment and replacing some wires it now powers on, but emits a continuous tone.

I do not know how successful you will be looking for that schematic. Maybe Carl Moreland can help you out.

I would suggest getting a copy of his book, Inside the Metal Detector.

I think that you could figure it out once you understand the basic function of metal detectors in general.
